The Castres-Mazamet Technopole’s three missions are:
- The objective of the Castres-Mazamet Technopole is to:
- lead and form a network between technological, scientific and economic expertise,
- support projects, innovation and incubation,
- promote the region and attract new companies.
Close to the metropolitan area of Toulouse, in the Midi-Pyrénées region, the Castres-Mazamet Technopole was approved by RETIS, the national network for Technopoles, European Business and Innovation Centers, and Incubators. The Technopole develops expertise and support tools for corporate projects in three areas of expertise: health, the digital sector and fine chemistry.
Due to this positioning, the Castres-Mazamet Technopole acts as an innovation structure and deploys an attractive service offering for companies directly related to the Midi-Pyrénées’ Cancer-Bio-Health competitiveness cluster.
At the level of the Castres-Mazamet region, the technopole meets the following needs of:
- project leaders whose activities bring added value to the local economy,
- entrepreneurs associated (or not) with technological structures,
- companies seeking to develop new, innovative activities,,
- takerovers,
- job seekers looking to create their own company.
The Castres-Mazamet Technopole is essentially based on two development sites, the Causse Espace d’Entreprises business park (an industrial park covering 185 hectares, with a teleport and corporate hotel), identified as a regional support site for
the Cancéropôle of Toulouse, and the La Borde Basse university campus which hosts
the Paul Sabatier IUT (departments: Chemistry,
Communication Services and Networks,
Packaging Engineering and the
CRITT DIAC), and a technological hall associated with a Quality degree in food and bio-industries.
